1. Who we are

EarnTask ("we", "us") runs the EarnTask website at earntask.io and the EarnTask mobile app. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use either of them, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

2. Data we collect

Account details: your email address and sign-in details (handled by our login provider, Clerk), and, if you use Google or Apple sign-in, the basic profile those services share.
Profile: optional gender, age range and country you enter in your profile.
Linked accounts: the Reddit usernames you add (with their public karma and account age), and your Discord username and ID when you connect Discord.
Task activity: tasks you accept, the links and screenshots you submit as proof, reviews of your submissions, reports and support tickets.
Payments: your balance, earnings and withdrawal history, and the payout details you provide (for example a PayPal email, Wise details or a crypto wallet address).
Device and security data: your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, a random identifier for your app installation, and basic device information (device model and operating system). We use this to prevent fraud such as duplicate accounts.
Website analytics: on the website only, we use cookies and analytics tools (PostHog, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel) to understand usage and measure advertising. The mobile app does not include these tools and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

3. How we use it

To create and run your account and show you available tasks
To review your submissions and pay you what you earn
To prevent fraud, abuse and duplicate accounts
To provide support and send you service messages about your account, tasks and payouts
To understand and improve the website (website analytics only)

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run EarnTask, and only what they need:

Hosting and database: Vercel and Convex
Sign-in: Clerk
Email delivery: Resend
Payouts: PayPal, Wise and CoinGate, for the withdrawals you request
Surveys: CPX Research, if you choose to take surveys
IP address lookups for fraud prevention: ipapi
Community and identity checks: Discord, when you connect it
Website analytics: PostHog, Google and Meta (website only)

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and EarnTask.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data as described below. Records we need for accounting, tax and fraud prevention (your submissions, task history, transactions and withdrawals) are kept in a form no longer linked to your email or login, for as long as the law requires.

6. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the mobile app under More → Delete account. When you do, we:

Delete your login and remove your email, profile details and Discord connection
Delete your notifications, device and security data, and saved payout details not used by a past withdrawal
Release any tasks you have accepted

Any remaining balance is forfeited, so withdraw it first. If a withdrawal is still being processed, you can delete your account once it has been paid out. You can also ask us to delete your account through the Support page.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, contact us through the Support page. We will respond within the time the law requires.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is completely secure, so please keep your login details safe.

9. Children

EarnTask is only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above, and tell you about significant changes by email or in the app.
